Get Well Soon

This card measures 8'' x 8'' and I have made the sentiment the main feature of this card.  I really like these colours and its a wee bit different from what I would usually make for a get well card.

I love all the little details like the birds and how they are decoupaged.

Just to let you see the decoupage of the flowers and the birds

I hope you like it

See you tomorrow

Little Owl Card

I thought I would share another card I made using the A-May-Zing cd rom.  This time I have used a cute owl image with a Happy Birthday sentiment.  All paper and elements have been printed from the CD except for the three little gems.  Again I have used a white gel pen to add faux stitching around the edges.

I hope you like it.

Some little cards

I have been making cards, bags and doing some baking lately but I haven't been blogging.  Naughty!!!
I have made some cards last night which I thought I would share with you.

This first one is made using images from Nigel May's CD rom ( Nigel from Create & Craft ) A-May-Zing.  The images are very cute, clean and in a style I like.  This one I have inked the edges of the backing paper with tea dye distress ink and have added highlights to my faux buttons with a white sakura pen.

See you tomorrow

birthday card

I used a piece of lilac vellum which I tore into a rough square to fit my 5 x 5 card blank.  I used my large scallop punch and circle punches and the little flower topper is one which I found at the bottom of my drawer and had forgotten about.  I love it when I find bits and pieces I have forgotten about.  The sentiment has been printed off my computer

Engagement Card

My cousin has just announced her engagement.  Some brilliant news to celebrate.  I just had to make a card and thought I would use shapes cut from my cameo.
Although the photo isn't very clear, its a cream card blank with a strip of brown card.  This is edged with gold peel offs.  The gold mirror card mat has been cut on the cameo as has the swirl, leaves and flowers.  These have been coloured using inks.  The forever friends bear is from a decoupage kit I had and I thought it suited the occasion.  The little sentiment has just been printed from my computer.  Hope you like it.

More Cameo Tags

Just a couple more little tags made in a similar way - using shapes cut from white card and inked up using distress inks.  I like these little spiral flowers.

I think this one is my favourite as I love the way the little flowers sit up.  It sets the whole tag off and looks so dimensional.  It makes it a wee bit different.

This one I thought would suit a Valentine's gift as it has the heart shape and pinky colours.  I really do like these little flowers.  I have a feeling they could be making a few appearances over the next wee while.

Cameo uses

I'm really starting to get the hang of my Cameo now.  I think for a while I was too cautious so now I've really started to try lots of different things and I have to say it's the best bit of kit I've purchased - no kidding.
I like making my own tags but now I don't even have to buy the blank ones, I can just cut them myself.

I cut the tag, heart, swirl and flower template with the cameo and using white card and then used my distress inks to colour.  The little flower was a spiral which I gently inked before rolling up and securing with some pva glue.  I hope you like them.  I'll have more to share tomorrow.

Another little box

This one is shaped like a mini milk carton.  I cut the box shape using the cameo.  I also cut the hearts, the flowers and the swirls.  I really like this shape and I think it would suit a little aperture in the side and would hold a small cupcake nicely.  Thats a project for another day!

Using my cameo

I'm still getting to grips with the silhouette software but I did manage to cut and decorate these little boxes.  \i cut the box template, the fancy heart frame and cut a spiral which I rolled in to a flower.

I think i will use these for little gifts at Valentine's Day.

They will look well with some sweeties or chocolates in
