My cousin has just announced her engagement. Some brilliant news to celebrate. I just had to make a card and thought I would use shapes cut from my cameo.
Although the photo isn't very clear, its a cream card blank with a strip of brown card. This is edged with gold peel offs. The gold mirror card mat has been cut on the cameo as has the swirl, leaves and flowers. These have been coloured using inks. The forever friends bear is from a decoupage kit I had and I thought it suited the occasion. The little sentiment has just been printed from my computer. Hope you like it.

More Cameo Tags
Just a couple more little tags made in a similar way - using shapes cut from white card and inked up using distress inks. I like these little spiral flowers.
I think this one is my favourite as I love the way the little flowers sit up. It sets the whole tag off and looks so dimensional. It makes it a wee bit different.
This one I thought would suit a Valentine's gift as it has the heart shape and pinky colours. I really do like these little flowers. I have a feeling they could be making a few appearances over the next wee while.

Cameo uses
I'm really starting to get the hang of my Cameo now. I think for a while I was too cautious so now I've really started to try lots of different things and I have to say it's the best bit of kit I've purchased - no kidding.
I like making my own tags but now I don't even have to buy the blank ones, I can just cut them myself.
I cut the tag, heart, swirl and flower template with the cameo and using white card and then used my distress inks to colour. The little flower was a spiral which I gently inked before rolling up and securing with some pva glue. I hope you like them. I'll have more to share tomorrow.

Another little box
This one is shaped like a mini milk carton. I cut the box shape using the cameo. I also cut the hearts, the flowers and the swirls. I really like this shape and I think it would suit a little aperture in the side and would hold a small cupcake nicely. Thats a project for another day!

Using my cameo
I'm still getting to grips with the silhouette software but I did manage to cut and decorate these little boxes. \i cut the box template, the fancy heart frame and cut a spiral which I rolled in to a flower.
I think i will use these for little gifts at Valentine's Day.

Happy 2012 everyone
Can't believe another year has come and gone. 2011 wasn't a bad year but it wasn't a great one either. I'm hopeful for 2012. I would like to wish everyone a very happy, peaceful and prosperous new year.

Some Christmas Cards ( I know,I know)
I found my camera today after it going 'walkies' since before Christmas. I took down all my decorations and when I was tidying up there it was. I thought I would share some of the last minute cards I made.
I used The Snowman paper kit and a goody bag from Craftwork Card that I got for a fiver. Excellent value for money.

Christmas monochrome
I like the simplicity of black and white and I found this little topper among my Christmas embellishments so I thought I would keep the theme.
I have layered the topper on to some black card, then silver mirri card and lastly some bright white card. I finished the look with some small gems in the corner.

More Christmas
I'm really in the mood to get some of my Christmas cards done. Nothing too complicated or dimensional - thinking of postal costs again.
I made this card from scraps I had in my drawer and the little girl topper is from a kit off Create & Craft. Cute!

Early Bird Christmas
I'm feeling Christmassy today. It might have something to do with the reall rubbish weather we're having at the minute. It's really cold today.
I like this Forever Friends image and rather than layer everything up on my card I have designed it all as a flat layer on the computer and then printed it off. This will help reduce postage costs at Christmas.

Just for you
Sorry about no post yesterday. I went to get out of bed and my back just 'popped'. I couldn't straighten or bend, I just stood stooped over. Many painkillers later I could walk a bit but nothing else. This card I'm going to show you comes courtesy of NUROFEN. Hahahaha.
I used some images and paper from a docrafts CD rom I had. I also used some gold mirri card to layer it on to. See you tomorrow.

Another First Birthday
I thought I would make another card for Cathair just so his mum would have a choice. This one is an easel card.
The image is one from the My Craft Studio Bunny Snuffles CD. I added a background and some text. The background stripy papers are from a crafter's companion CD, and the buttons are just some I had.

First Birthday
I made this for a colleague's little boy who will be one next month.
I have used papers and pyramage from Popcorn the Bear CD from Crafter's Companion. I have matted them on to some textured gold mirri board.
The sentiment I made using alphabet peel offs coloured green with a peel off marker. The clear gems were also coloured with the same pen.
