Hunkydory kit makes

Made these quick cards using my Hunkydory kit.  The quality is brilliant and the cards are so easy to put together and yet look so good.  I really like this pink butterfly one and I have just added some pastel backing paper to the inside

White and silver looks really elegant and the sentiments are really different.  Again really easy to put together and still manages to look stunning

Men!!!

Am I the only one who struggles with cards for the men in my life?  They don't like boats, yachts, darts etc.  What can I do?  Flipping Men!

What a day!

I'm soo tired and in need of a large mug of coffee.  I have been running around after the kids all day, then just as I think I have all the chores done I find a large pile of dirty clothes behind the my son's bed!!!  I did manage to slot in some craft shopping though - just some ink pads but nevertheless something to play with.  See the results tomorrow

Off work today

Yippee!! Off work today and I'm just itching to get crafting after all my purchases yesterday.  I have made a couple of valentines cards.  I have kept them very simple as they are for my son and daughter to send.  I also have been making baby cards as I know I will need some soon. 
I promised my daughter that I would help her sort out her clothes this afternoon - I wonder would she like to craft instead.  I'll have to use all my powers of persuasion.

Another Valentine

Went shopping this morning and I ended up buying loads of new crafty stash.  Easons had good deals on card and I bought a creative cardmaking magazine that had 2 cd roms.  Then The Works had a sale on  -  card blanks, envelopes, embellishments, ribbon.  I overdosed on the lot.  I could hardly carry my bags to the car!  I guess not much housework will get done this weekend.  Just made another quick Valentine Card - this time in darker colours.

Valentine

I made this card for my hubby.  I used pearlescent card as the base card and I have to say that it made a difference to the overall effect of the card.  Very nice.  I really like these papers and toppers from My Craft Studio and I'm not scared to use them as I can always print off some more.  Usually when I get a nice paper I have to buy 2 - one to use and one to keep.  I think CD's save me money ( well, to spend on other craft goodies )

I made this quick card for a friend's husband.  I used images from My Craft Studio and a little bit of mirri card.  I printed off a few more sheets so that I have some thing to work on when I come home from work tomorrow.  I think I'll try some shaped cards or kinetic cards next.  Going to bed now as I'm up in the morning at 5am.

Funny Cat

Hi, having a funny day today.  Feeling really lazy and lethargic.  Ended up on the sofa watching TV and I just made one card - that must be a record for me.  I saw these images and I just loved them.

More Supplies

I had a sick daughter tis morning so I managed to get to Crafters & Co, my local craft shop on my own.  It was great - I had time to really look at stuff.  I bought some lovely paper and some card blanks and envelopes.  You can never have too much stash.  When I came home I thought I would use up some freebies I had got in a magazine.  I have never really made oriental cards before.  First time for everything I suppose.

New Kit arrived

My new kit from Hunky Dory arrived this afternoon.  It was the Pick of the Week on Create & Craft this last week.  Its beautiful.  I couldn't wait to get started.  Heres a little taster.

Off work today

I was off work today and was full of good intentions - washing, hoovering, cleaning etc.  Oh dear!  Instead I chatted and drank way too much coffee.  Oh well, tomorrow is another day.  Funny how I always find time to make a card or two though.

Craft Day

Its Create and Craft's Craft Day!! I've been so busy watching all the demos and goodies looking for inspiration.  Its a shame I have to work this afternoon.  Not a lot of crafting done today but I made this card with wee bits I had left over.

Feeling tired

I'm sooooo tired today.  My alarm didn't go off this morning and it was a real rush to get to work on time.  That set the tone for the whole day - slightly disorientated.  Just made a nice card for my mum today.  I'm going out for my tea and all I want to do is sleep.  Bed early tonight I think!!!

Busy day at work

I was really busy at work today but I feel I got a lot of work cleared up.  Making some bright cards to help cheer myself up as I'm getting depressed looking out the window at all the rain!!  i need to get to bed early as I'm working again in the morning.

Lazy Day

Just going to be really lazy today.  Watching telly and crafting on the sofa. Doesn't really get any better.  Still playing with my distress inks but have printed off a few papers from my CDs so I'll see what comes about.  Enjoy your day.

Perfect day

What a day I've had.  It was perfect.  my magazine arrived this morning as did my Wine Buffs CD rom from Create & Craft.  Then my local craft shop was having a mega clear out of rubber stamps so I had to go and see what they had.  As you can see from my pic there wasn't much housework done today.  I read my mags, browsed my CD and made this Sorry You're Leaving card.

Feeling sorry for myself

Feeling rough today.  I've been feeling poorly since Tuesday but yesterday I had to give in and go to bed.  Still not the best but fit enough to get the laptop switched on.  Hopefully normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

Busy Day

I was working this morning.  Really busy and I'm so tired.  I have a 40th Birthday card and a New Job card to make this week.  I really hope inspiration strikes.  I made a couple of small purple numbers yesterday - I should have made the ones I needed!!!

What a day!

Went to go out this morning in the car and my back yard was just like an ice rink!!  My son thought it was great but I didn't share his enthusiasm.  I felt like a drunk ice skater - probably looked like one as well.  I'm just getting settled down with my coffee to watch Barbara Gray of Clarity Stamps as she's on Create & Craft this afternoon at 2pm.  I love her techniques so I'm sure I'll get some new ideas.  I also want to use some of my new dies I got the other day.  I'll tell you how I get on.  Take care

More Snow!!!!!

It looks like the winter isn't done yet.  Snow again this morning although not too much.  At least I have an excuse now for not going out - its too cold, I'll have to stay in and craft instead.  Got a card made for my daughter's friend.  I think I got the paper and toppers from an edition of Making Cards Magazine and then used a template and a few little flowers.

Just getting started

Friday morning and I have to make a birthday card for my daughter's friend who will be 5 tomorrow.  Why is it when I really need to make a card I have no ideas but if I'm just crafting for fun I could make birthday cards all day and not get to sleep that night because of all the ideas running around in my head!! I think I need some coffee and chocolate - That's my excuse anyway.  I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow.  Enjoy your day
